Sydney Observatory

At night I went to the Sydney Observatory. First it was too cloudy to see anything but then we could spot the Saturn with the three Moons Ganymede, Europa and Callisto.
I also could visit the exhibition about telescopes, solarsystem models and astronomy photography and the planetarium and the 3D cinema. The 3D technic is simple but efficient. There are two exactly adjusted standard beamers with polarisation filters. So you get no headache unlike you get from shutter-glasses systems in many tv's these days.

Interessting is the fact that the telescope was built in 1874: http://www.dhub.org/object/258726
